What does the Activity page show?
Every landing visit, order and visit to a broken page from the last 7 or 30 days, newest first, each labelled with what brought it: an ad, an AI assistant, a campaign or SignalLane.
Latest activity, on Home and on the Attribution page, shows the five newest landing visits, orders and visits to broken pages. View all activity opens the Activity page with the whole list, 50 rows a page, newest first.
What each row says
Every row names what brought the visit, or the visit before the order:
- Google Ads, Microsoft Ads or TikTok ad, from the ad's click tag.
- Facebook or Instagram link. Facebook and Instagram add the same tag to ordinary posts, so SignalLane does not call it an ad.
- AI assistant, with the assistant's name, such as ChatGPT or Perplexity.
- Campaign, with the link's source tag and its campaign or medium, as you wrote them.
- Sent by SignalLane, for a visit that arrived through a SignalLane redirect with no campaign.
An order row says After a visit from … when it followed a landing visit by the same shopper, or No tracked visit. A row that came through a SignalLane redirect says so. An order's amount is its Shopify order total; a cancelled or test order is labelled so. The amount is left blank until the order is confirmed with your Shopify orders.
Filters and dates
- Kind: landings, orders or broken links.
- Source: ad platform or social link, AI assistant, campaign, or through a SignalLane redirect; then one platform or one assistant.
- Assistant: one AI assistant, when the source is AI assistant.
- Period: Last 7 days by default, or Last 30 days when SignalLane keeps visit records that long.
The filters are kept in the page address, so a bookmark opens the same view. If a filter matches nothing, Clear filters brings the whole list back.
What is not here
The Activity page lists what SignalLane's pixel saw: visits and orders from shoppers who allowed analytics, on stores where SignalLane is installed. Totals for a date range are on the Attribution page. What the attribution figures mean.
Questions and answers
- Why does a visit from Instagram say "Facebook or Instagram link" and not "Meta ad"?
- Facebook and Instagram add the same tag to links in ordinary posts as to ads, so SignalLane cannot tell an ad from a post and does not call it an ad.
- Can I see who the shopper was?
- No. The Activity page shows no name, email or other identity. It shows what brought a visit, the page and, for an order, its amount.

- AttributionWhy did an order show as 'direct' after a redirect, and how does SignalLane fix it?
A hop to another domain or store can drop the campaign tags and the visit that started the order. SignalLane carries the tags, marks its own redirects, and credits the order on its Attribution page.
- AttributionHow does SignalLane count visitors sent by AI assistants?
SignalLane names the assistant from the site that sent the visitor and the link's campaign tag: ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot or You.com. Shopify may classify differently.
