Getting started

Plans and usage: what each plan includes and what counts

Starter, Growth and Pro differ in visitors routed, rules, linked stores, products and AI credits each billing period. Linking stores starts on Growth. Going over the visitors or products never stops anything.

SignalLane is billed by Shopify, on the plan you choose on Shopify's own plan page. Plans are billed every 30 days (a billing period), and the Starter plan has a 3-day free trial, and Growth and Pro a 7-day free trial. Every limit below is per billing period. Settings › Plan and usage shows your plan, when it renews or changes, and what you have used this billing period. SignalLane never shows a price; Shopify's plan page does.

What each plan includes

  • Starter: up to 2,000 visitors routed, 10 visitor rules, up to 500 products in SignalLane's copy of your catalogue, 100 AI credits, 30 days of visit records and 30 days of reports. Starter does not link stores.
  • Growth: everything in Starter, plus up to 50,000 visitors routed, unlimited rules, 3 linked stores, up to 5,000 products, 500 AI credits, 30 days of visit records, 90 days of reports, and what Starter does not have: linking stores and offering the same product on a linked store, suggesting your other store in the cart and at checkout, automatic fill with AI, and moving up to 15,000 old addresses to Shopify.
  • Pro: everything in Growth, plus up to 250,000 visitors routed, 5 linked stores, up to 15,000 products, 2,000 AI credits, up to 100,000 old addresses when moving to Shopify, 30 days of visit records and 180 days of reports.
  • Enterprise: a plan agreed with us for larger catalogues and more linked stores, with 400 days of reports. Write to support@signallane.app.

Every plan includes URL redirects and redirect patterns, broken-link recovery, checkout rules, attribution, AI shopping readiness and the Klaviyo integration.

What counts as a visitor routed

A visitor routed is a visitor SignalLane sent to your other store or market, or showed a banner, popup or notice to. Each visitor counts at most once a day, however many pages they see. A visitor SignalLane left alone does not count, and neither does the card on a missing page, the cart suggestion, a checkout message or your checkout rules. Bots and your own previews are not counted, and neither is a visitor whose privacy settings do not allow analytics. The figure is approximate and can differ a little either way: people sharing one connection on the same day may count as one. No identifier is sent or stored. What SignalLane stores.

Mention it in your privacy notice

SignalLane makes this count for itself, to apply its plan limits, so your store's privacy notice should mention it. For example: "Our store uses SignalLane to send visitors to the right store or market. When it redirects a visitor or shows them a message, and the visitor's privacy choices allow analytics, it counts that visit for its own plan limits, using the visitor's network address for a moment without storing it or any other identifier."

What happens at a limit

  • Visitors routed and products: nothing stops. You get an email at 80% and at 100% of your visitors routed, and at 80% and 100% of your products, and when a billing period ends over your plan's visitors or products a message on every page asks you to move to a larger plan. You can hide it for 7 days.
  • Rules and linked stores: once you reach your plan's number, the buttons to add one more are switched off and say why, with a See plans button. The ones you have keep working.
  • Features your plan does not include: you see a lock and the plan that includes them beside the setting, before you try to turn it on, with a See plans button.
  • AI credits: credits beyond your plan's are charged per credit through your Shopify bill, up to the monthly limit you set in Settings › AI credits. In a free trial a plan includes at most 200 AI credits (Starter 100) and no extra credits, until its first paid billing period. About AI credits.

Moving to a smaller plan

Nothing is deleted the day you move down. Rules and linked stores over the new plan's number keep working; you cannot add more until you are under it (on Starter none can be added, and the links you have are paused, for both stores of each link, from the end of your first full billing period on it until you move up; nothing is deleted). Features the smaller plan does not include keep working until the end of your first full billing period on it, and you are emailed 7 days before they stop.

Questions and answers

Does SignalLane stop redirecting when I reach my visitors routed?
No. Redirects and banners keep working for every visitor. You get an email at 80% and at 100%, and when a billing period ends over your plan's number SignalLane asks you to move to a larger plan.
Can I link stores on Starter?
No. Linking stores, and offering the same product on a linked store, start on the Growth plan. A store that moves down to Starter keeps its links listed, but they are paused, for both stores, from the end of its first full billing period on Starter until it moves up again; nothing is deleted.
Where do I change my plan?
On Shopify's plan page for SignalLane. Change plan on SignalLane's Plan and usage page opens it, and so does every See plans button. You never need to contact us to change plan.
Why does SignalLane say "about" next to visitors routed?
The count is approximate and can differ a little either way: each visitor counts at most once a day, people sharing one connection may count as one, and a visitor whose privacy settings do not allow analytics is not counted.
