How do I add a picture to a banner or notice?
Pick a picture from your store's Files on the Default look page, or give one rule its own on its Customize screen. Split image and Notice show it, with a description for screen readers.
The Split image layout and the Notice show a picture beside your words. You choose it from your store's Files in Shopify, for the whole store or for one rule.
For every rule: Default look
Open Default look and, under Image, press Choose image. Shopify's file picker opens on your store's Files; pick a picture and save. Every rule that does not choose its own uses this picture. SignalLane does not upload pictures itself, so add the picture to Files in Shopify first.
For one rule: Customize
On a rule's Customize screen, the Image section offers:
- Use the store's image: the picture set on Default look.
- This rule's own image: choose a different picture for this rule only.
- No image: show no picture for this rule.
The preview beside the form shows the real picture as visitors will see it.
Describe the picture
Write a short description of what the picture shows. Screen readers read it aloud. You can write it once for each language your store publishes; a language you leave empty uses the default description. Tick Decorative image (no description) only for a picture that adds nothing to the message, so screen readers skip it.
When a file is deleted
SignalLane checks once a day that the pictures you picked still exist. If one was deleted from Files, visitors get the picture that would show without it, and the screen where you picked it says so. How to change how a banner looks.
