- Can a rule depend on the referring site, browser language or page?
Yes. A rule can match only visitors coming from certain sites, only browsers set to certain languages, and only certain pages of your store. Empty means any.
- How do I add a picture to a banner or notice?
Pick a picture from your store's Files on the Default look page, or give one rule its own on its Customize screen. Split image and Notice show it, with a description for screen readers.
- How do I change how a banner looks?
Set one look for every banner and notice on the Default look page, then give a single rule its own words and look on its Customize screen, beside a live preview.
- How do I close my store for a while?
Show visitors a closed page for a launch, a holiday or a stock count, let the people you choose in with a password, and, once you turn on SignalLane's checkout rule, have Shopify refuse checkout. On every plan.
- How do visitor countries and states/provinces work?
Leave Visitor countries empty to match anywhere, add countries to narrow the rule, and use Except countries to leave some out. States/provinces are best effort.
- Style your banner with Custom CSS
Add your own CSS to the banner, the popup, the 404 suggestions card and the cart suggestion: where the boxes are, the parts you can style, what SignalLane refuses and why, and the limits.
- What happens when two rules match the same visitor?
The rule with the lowest Priority number wins and is the only one that acts on that page. Answers to a banner, once-per-session redirects and loop limits decide the rest.
- What is the difference between Instant, Banner and Notice?
Instant redirects straight away, Banner lets the visitor choose whether to go, and Notice tells visitors you don't serve their region without sending them anywhere.
- Which words fill in for each visitor?
Write {store}, {product}, {country} or {state} in a rule's words and each visitor reads the real name: the other store, the product, their country or their state/province.
